Children's Nature Photography
Here you are going to find some shots of wildlife that I've taken, and how and why I took the photos.
Hawk
I went to a bird show and I caught this Hawk on my camera while it was flying. It was hard to take it because it was so quick, and most of the photos didn't even turn out that good.
Goslings
I went to our local pond and there was a heron, geese, moor hens, ducks, and there was even a greylag goose.
We saw the goslings wandering on the land so we took our chance and took a close up photo of these goslings. I had to crouch down and be patient for a little bit until the animals were confident to come close.
Small White Butterfly
For this photo, I had to constantly keep following the butterfly around because it wouldn't stay still. It kept darting around, and then I finally got this photo.
Turkey
We went to a farm, and here we saw a Turkey. So, I took a photo of it but we couldn't take close up photos of it because it was in a bad mood. So then we took our chance and took this photo of the Turkey.
Tadpole
We went to Hitchcopse Pit, and we walked around for a little bit and we managed to spot tadpoles, and there were lots of them. They hadn't grown legs yet and we couldn't see their mum.
It was a bit easy to get the shot because they weren't darting around as much and they stayed still. It was hard to getting the camera into the right position because the camera is heavy and there was water just below me, so I was worried about dropping it.
Fossil
We went to Dry Sandford Pit and I spotted this fossil that was in the stone. They were really hard to find, and we had to search for 10 minutes just to find one.
Bee in Flower
We saw this bee in a flower and I couldn't miss this chance so I went ahead and took the picture.
Did you know Bees are misunderstood because they are known to sting people but they only sting you if you get too close to their hive or you try to hit them or be silly with them.
Tree in the water
You don't get a chance to take something as beautiful as this everyday. We went on a 4 mile walk and we stopped for lunch and I saw this majestic branch in the water.
When I looked at it I imagined that there was other roots stretching out underneath the branch and that there were lots of fish swimming in the water.
Moss and fungus on a tree
I am quite observant so I managed to spot this. I thought it was a good sign of nature. Normally big animals and predators are what you think of nature. But, there are other small things that matter as well.
Cowslips through the boardwalk
I took a picture of this because I don't normally see cowslips growing up through boardwalks. It seemed interesting.
